Health and Safety Policy

It is the fundamental requirement of Action Raceway that the Health and Safety of all Customers participating or otherwise, and all Staff be treated equally to other operational requirements as an integral part of running our business.

It is the responsibility of ALL employees to reduce the risk of accidents and injuries by eliminating, isolating or minimizing hazards that may cause personal or participant's injury, occupational illness or property damage.

Action Raceway will provide a Healthy and Safe environment for participating customers, visitors, contractors and Staff. We will comply with legislation, codes of practice and industry standards and have safe systems of practice for all activities, as laid down in the Health & Safety Manual.

All Supervisors, Managers and Contractor are accountable for Health and Safety performance within their work area. Responsibilities include a commitment to the accurate reporting and recording of all Health and Safety data. Maintain a high standard of Customer safety, housekeeping, hygiene, effective hazard management, training, accident reporting and emergency response.

All Customers participating are briefed with an overview of motorsports safety and its requirements. All Customers participating must adhere to the rules as laid down within the briefing. This is to minimise the risk of injury to themselves, Staff and to others participating at that time.

In the event of an emergency, Staff are trained in first aid and hold current certificates. A first aid kit is available and OSH notification systems current.

Legal Requirements for Action Raceway

It is the fundamental requirement of Action Raceway that the following Government Authority Regulations, licenses and standards are achieved and kept current in order to operate an Indoor Go-Kart Facility.

  1. Department of Labour Certificates of Registration to be issued by the Inspector of Machinery.
  2. Mechanical Engineers Certificate of Examination of Amusement Devices. To be issued by a registered engineer under the Engineers Registration Act 1924, holding a current practicing Certificate.

Action Raceway has achieved these requirements and all Certificates and licenses are continuously kept current.
